World clubbing super-brand Cream kicks off the summer season with a double CD and digital release, Cream Ibiza mixed by award-winning trio Above & Beyond.
As the longest running UK club night on the island, taking over Thursday nights, Cream Ibiza brings together the world’s top DJs and thousands of clubbers to the award winning ‘World’s Best Club’ Amnesia. With mammoth weekly parties that will see Above & Beyond joined by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell, Calvin Harris, Sander van Doorn, Laidback Luke, and Example at the club this summer.
Described by DJ Mag as “the biggest electronic DJing and production collective the UK has ever produced,” Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamaki AKA Above & Beyond made an obvious choice for this year’s installment of the Cream compilation series.
Producers, songwriters, DJ’s and owners of the renowned Anjunabeats label, Above & Beyond have remained down-to-earth and as determined as ever despite the numerous accolades, remixing greats like Madonna and Radiohead and selling out shows from Bombay to Brixton Academy. 2011 saw the release of their second studio album Group Therapy. With the White Isle summer coming to an end Hed Kandi’s saxophonist and vocalist Laura Fowles A.K.A The Lovely Laura and producer extraordinaire Tyrrell come together to bring you their debut artist album straight from the sunsets of Ibiza, Hed Kandi: Balearica Unplugged. They go back to basics, bringing the Hed Kandi fans a taste of their Balearic musical roots. They disconnected the decks, ditched the electronic beats and unplugged the sound system stripping things back creating a medley of deliciously unplugged covers of their favourite dance songs. Tyrrell picked up the six string, laid down some sensual acoustic guitar riffs and atmospheric chords, whilst Laura added a splash of soft, husky, phenomenal vocals and sexy sax melodies.

Afterlife, brings you a wide, laid back collection all reworked with Hed Kandi’s own Balearic acoustic treatment… always keeping a sunny disposition in mind. Tiësto teams up with Wolfgang Gartner for the release of their brand new single, “We Own The Night”, a feature track on Tiësto’s new mix album “Club Life — Volume Two Miami”.
“We Own The Night” is a definitive dance music anthem; dedicated to the late night hours when clubbers and DJs burn with the stars and shine so bright. Tiësto and Wolfgang Gartner have created a masterpiece where a powerful instrumental is paired with perfect vocals for an epic result.
Tiësto says, “I’ve been a huge fan of Wolfgang for years. As a producer, there are few out there with the kind of talent he has, so teaming up was always something I was very keen to make happen. I’m really happy with how the track turned out; you can hear each of our individual styles on there, but together they create something really special! It was an easy decision to make it a key track on my new “Club Life Volume Two Miami compilation”.
Wolfgang Gartner adds, “When Tiësto brought up the idea of collaboration I was thrilled and I think “We Own The Night” is destined to be a classic. We were already happy with the musical part, but something special happened when Luciana came into the project and put her vocal touch on it. The only way I can describe it is…magic. I can honestly say this song is my favorite of all the collaborations I’ve ever done.”

Known from posh to underground EDM worlds, DJ/Producer K2xL can be seen opening for DJ Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, or Dirty South in the main room of a packed Opera Nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia to the legendary Pacha Club in New York City.
Raised in Marietta, Georgia, Danny Miller (K2xL) started out in dance music via production. While in the music store to purchase new synthesizers, he came across a DJ equipment and decided to give it a spin. What started out as a hobby DJing at house parties in Home Park Atlanta quickly gained momentum, and he started to host his own parties. With the help of his monthly podcast “Entranced Atlanta” he gained himself a fan base. His co-founded monthly party Electric Spring at The Shelter built himself a following of EDM fans and helped grow the Shelter to the Creative Loafing #1 Best New Club in Atlanta.
