Introducing: DJ / MC Vika Kova

Everyone knows DJ Vika Kova who has been rocking the dance floors for some time now, but not everybody knows that she started out in 2001 as an MC/vocalist. Over the years she shared the stage with every “big boy in the business” such as Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Bob Sinclar, Shapeshifters, Freemasons, Fedde Le Grand, Chuckie, Afrojack, Laidback Luke and many more.

Nowadays DJ Vika Kova is bringing you the best of both worlds when she gets behind the decks, with a mic just within her reach so she can empower her set with live vocals anytime she feels like it.

Using her perfect sense of timing that she developed over the years of live MC-ing, she keeps her sets fresh and fun, stunning the crowd with her vocal skills when they least expect it.

Born in Russia, she grew up in Germany and went back to Russia just to settle down in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) a couple of years later. No matter where she went though, music always remained a constant factor in Vika Kova’s life. Always supported by her parents, she graduated cum laude from the Music and Ballet Academy, followed by the prestigious Music Conservatory of Moscow.

As MC, Vika expended many boundaries of this profession and was the voice of the main ID&T events, such as MysteryLand, Sensation White and Innercity. Also Carl Cox choose Vika Kova to be the voice of his Revolution radio shows and tours.

Today she’s playing the hottest parties at some of Holland’s finest clubs such as Paradiso, Panama, Escape and VIP Room. DJ Vika Kova spreads her message of love and peace and has great fun doing it! She is regularly touring in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and in Asia and is now a part of the innovative club concept called Supper & Sound @Het Bosch (Amsterdam, NL). From 6th of March Vika’s new club concept “Sunday Slide” will be to visit @VIP Room in Rotterdam (NL) every first Sunday of the month.

As the voice of a producers duo 2Dirty, in 2009 she reached Nr.1 on Dancetunes.com with “Climax in my Head”. Their next track “In the Army” has been released in 2010 on Mostiko Records. Vika’s next creation, collaboration with producer/DJ Kasper Kwant, is called “Night Together” and was released in May, 2010 on Omerta Records.

For now Vika Kova is the voice of Carl Cox Revolution tour and radio shows again. For the 4th year in the row you can hear Vika every Tuesday.
